There’s no time like the past!

The Festival of Vintage is launched, a brand new Vintage event at York Racecourse on Saturday the 30th April.

Brainchild of Leeds based event organiser Discover Vintage, this new style Vintage event promises to take you right back in time to celebrate the sights, sounds and pastimes from the 1930s-1960s Experience bygone music and styles from past decades, this event will be packed full of things to see and do. Enjoy seeing fashion parades, classic cars and live music and join in the vintage dancing and get crafty in the make do and mend corner. This event is more than just another Vintage Fair and visitors are encouraged to get involved in activities throughout the day.

Keeley Harris, the event director says “There has been a massive resurgence in people buying vintage pieces for their home or to wear. There is also a growing interest in activities such as jive dancing and dress making, so it made sense to create an event that brings this all of this together under one roof” Dress the part too! It is suggested that visitors dress for the occasion in their favourite era. As well as all this there will be over 100 specially selected Vintage dealers from across the UK selling everything from frocks to kitchenware and toys to radios.
