There are Two Slug and Lettuce Bar Restaurants in York . One Nestled in The Quarter, Back Swinegate, among a bustling restaurant and bar culture, It iis a perfect place to visit. Built around an old curtyard, we have fantastic aspects onto the old York stone streets, once trodden by Vikings and Romans; in the summer, our courtyard is a hidden gem in the centre of the old city.

The Second is By the Riverside and boasts awesome river views.

As well as being a packed out bar on a night time, they pride themselves on being family friendly in the day and have entertainment for the little ones, including a "Tony Hart" style gallery. They also have monthly art exhibitions, allowing the art critic in all of us to be kept busy over long lunches, coffees or an after-work bottle of chilled wine. Just a stone's throw from the world-famous York Minster.
