There was a group of 9 of us, little bit surprised we could get a table on race day evening. Sat down, prompt on the poppadoms but not with anything else. Drinks were a hassle to get then taking the food orders took well over 40 mins. Upstairs the mutiny was starting with a gaggle of Hen's (Hen Party) kicking off about wrong food orders, substandard food and general problems. For about 30 mins, hens were going back and forth in the end they descended downstairs and proceeded to tell the restaurant how bad things were. We were still waiting for our food at this point, when it arrived, the problems began, it was all cold. We said we wanted it cooked again, it returned reheated, at this point were hungry, begrudgingly we tucked in, not without letting the manager and chef know our displeasure. During all this, several people walked out in disgust at the service and wrong food orders. It seemed they only people who enjoyed it were too drunk to know any better. On asking for the bill we asked for a discount, to told they would just take a dish off the bill. We said we wanted a greater discount and was told any extra five pounds would taken off. We refused and paid £15 each - again they were unhappy and asked for a further £5. They got very petty and said that they didnt care about our business. We left the money and walked, this restaurant trades on its location. Please do not go!!!
