The Yorkshire Foundation is bringing together some of the world’s finest performers in their own fields for a musical celebration of the county of Yorkshire. In the majestic setting of York Minster, The King’s Singers, with their Yorkshire-born bass singer Stephen Connolly, make a rare visit to the county to amaze the audience with their world-class a cappella singing.
They will be joined by Grimethorpe-born David Childs (euphonium) and the renowned Brighouse & Rastrick Band for an evening of entertainment of outstanding quality. David Childs is considered by many to be the world's finest euphonium player and is a former winner of the brass section of the BBC Young Musician of the Year.
The concert will be hosted by Frank Renton, presenter of BBC Radio 2’s Listen to the Band, and will feature a number of Yorkshire-inspired items.
Tickets (now available): £25, £20, £15 and £10. All £10 seats unreserved and restricted view. Concessions: 10% off any ticket.
