Plunkets is a welcome part of the scene in a York being in business for over 20 Years . There is a wide range range of dishes on offer, many of them American and south American, and portions are also generous. The Rolling Stones are reputed to have dinned at Plunkets, so perhaps that gives this restaurant some accolade. Neatly tucked away on High Petergate and in the shadow of York Minster add's to the popularity of Plunkets. You may find yourself enjoying a drink in the upstairs Bar while a table becomes free, or perhaps in the enclosed rear patio where heaters and candles seem a natural part of the scene. There is no better time to go however than on a winter evening when an unhurried candlelit meal seems to bring out the best in this restaurant.
