Welcome to Assam House, a stylish modern town house located on the edge of York 's famous Knavesmire Race Course, only a short walk from the city centre. The property provides all the amenities of contemporary living yet offers an atmosphere worthy of this most historic city.

We know that even on holiday some practical facilities are necessary so we have provided a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.

All our rooms are freshly decorated and have central heating, double glazing, and a profusion of personal touches that make Assam House the perfect place to relax and unwind whilst on holiday.

To make the most of your visit to York we offer a wealth of tourist and local information and we invite our guests to contribute to the visitor book and to pass on their tips for the best walks, best shops, best restaurants….

Travel cot and high chair available on request.
Bicycles are not provided but storage is possible in the garage.
Please note that Assam House is a non smoking residence and pets are not allowed.

BEDROOM

Each bedroom has a colour television. All beds have high quality sprung mattresses. Bed linen, hand and bath towels are provided.

LIVING ROOM

The living room has TV/DVD/VCR/CD & Digibox for multi channel viewing. There is also a small library of videos, DVD’s, CD music, books and board games. A living flame effect gas fire gives a warm cosy glow without the mess of logs and coal.

DINING/KITCHEN

The kitchen/dining room is designed for everything from family meals to elegant dinner parties. Here in this fully equipped kitchen you will find a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, twin oven and microwave.

GARDEN

To the rear of the house is an attractive enclosed garden with an area of timber decking, patio and pond. Garden furniture and barbecue are provided for the warm summer evenings, in season.
