Jorvick poor experience

Went with wife and daughter yesterday, first problem is that the centre would not accept my child free voucher that I had printed off. I was told they don't do them. As soon as I got back to my hotel room I found another voucher offering the same child free place in a Visit York publication. The duty manager treated me like I was a piece of dirt, my wifes description was that he was condescending. I asked for his work e-mail address so I could send him the link to the free child voucher website, he would not even write it down intelligble I had to ask him to spell it out. So beware of you go with a voucher, it may not be honoured and you may be embarrassed as I was.

So, nearly £25 lighter in the pocket, it all lasted 35 minutes. I was very very disappointed with this attraction which is very over priced for what you get. My daughter could not here the commentary on the ride as the speakers are to high for a child to hear.

We had been to the York Dungeons which is more expensive but very well worth the money in comparison to the Jorvick centre. If your on a budget, opt for the Dungeons, a far longer and more entertaining experience.

As a foot note, we were told that as with all other visitors we can come again in the next 12 months for free proding we keep our receipt. What they forget is that we live 130 miles away and won't becoming back to York.

I cannot recommend from my perdonal experience a visit to the Jorvick Centre.
