Galtres Lodge, set in the shadow of the Minster, offers the visitor an ideal and centrally located base from which to stroll through the Medieval streets and snickleways of York.

The lodge is situated in the heart of the York café quarter where the narrow Medieval streets are home to a wealth of small specialist and designer shops. Visit the many historic attractions and places of interest or enjoy shopping in the town centre.

The lodge is a Georgian brick building, with heating throughout, sympathetically restored in such a way as to retain the warmth and character of the original house. There are thirteen bedrooms, comprising single, double and twin-bedded accommodation and some rooms open onto a view of the famous Rose Window of the Minster. Our rooms are serviced daily.

Half of the accommodation is en suite, with two rooms having half-tester beds. For those without private facilities there is ample bathroom capacity including showers, and all remaining rooms are fitted with wash basins and some with WC.
